Taking photos has been a hobby of mine for many years. I love photographing beautiful scenery or fun family events.

::Fall Photography 2014::

What a beautiful fall Ohio had this year!
The trees were vivid. The colors that arrived were beyond gorgeous!

Such a lovely fall to take a few photographs for some friends + family.

As well as a mini self-timer shoot of me and my favorite fella on the family farm...

It is currently white, icy, crunchy + snowy type weather 'round here. I'm already missing those warm fall-colored days... but also so happy for scarf wearing months.

Happy Wednesday!

A Simply Lovely Sunday Thought {Back Behind the Lens}

This morning I got out the camera for one of those more "posed" types of photo sessions. And you know what, it felt incredibly nice.

Today I was especially excited, because these portraits were in celebration of our friends' baby boy turning one year old!

Which would of course also feature his proud big sister!

I loved spending today with those two little blondes and their very kind parents. {And my husband, the man with all the tricks to keep a three year old girl busy during brother's portion of the photo session... thank you J!} Thanks guys for the little push to put my camera to use :)

Nurture Photography: Green/Journey and Leaves in the Yard

I was super excited to read about the Nurture Photography Challenge for Fall 2012 put on by the team of Rebecca of Bumbles and Light and Kristi of Live and Love Out Loud

This week's inspiring topics are Green or Journey. Those are the words I had in mind when photographing nature this week.

I have a feeling that it will be a fast paced fall around here. Our yard is nonstop covered in leaves. And a good gust of wind can create a short lived rainstorm of pine needles.

Something I love about leaves is their journey doesn't stop once they reach the ground. They still have more changing to do.

Check out the challenge here. There are several topics to consider in the upcoming weeks. You can pick and choose when you can/want to participate. Even if you don't choose to add any photos it should be inspiring to view all the posted images of fall.

Get out, enjoy the fall weather and take a few photos for next week's topics (Yellow and Light).

Happy snapping! :)

Family Ties: Cheering for our Favorite Cheerleader

 Our oldest niece is a big kid. I can't believe that she is in First Grade and old enough to choose to join an after school activity!

H has a talent for remembering lyrics of songs and singing out loud. Also, she doesn't like to stay still. This meant that cheering for a young football team was a great match for her!

This past weekend we went to see her in action.

We had a fun time and are so happy she enjoyed the football season as a cheerleader for the Warriors!

Birthday Baby: Samantha is 2

Time flies when you're sweet, growing, and making millions of connections each day. Of course this can all happen when a person is only hundreds of days old...

Recently I photographed a young friend's birthday party! A little lady turned a big 2 years old! Her friends and family were oh so happy to be there.

We look forward to seeing many more years of that energy and great smile!
